'Til Death Do Us Part is the ninth episode of the fourth season of The Pretender which first aired January 15, 2000 on NBC in the United States. It features an appearance by recurring guest stars Jamie Denton as Mr. Lyle, Harve Presnell as Mr. Parker, Pamela Gidley as Brigitte and Richard Marcus as Mr. Raines; and also features Jon Gries as Broots.
On the one year anniversary of Thomas' death, Sydney, Broots and eventually Miss Parker, show up at Jarod's last lair to find the remnants of his pretend as a clown. There is a toy mock up of the scene of Miss Parker's meeting at a gas station with Thomas (Jason Brooks) and on the anniversary of Thomas' death, Miss Parker cannot believe Jarod could be so cruel. His reasons are pure however and he just thinks it is time for her to find out who really killed Thomas.
Jarod leads Miss Parker with clues he has and the search leads her to her father and Brigitte who are on the run, with Brigitte on the brink of giving birth to her baby. Miss Parker ends up delivering the baby unaided (Mr. Parker is nowhere around because Brigitte did not let him know where she was) however Brigitte does not survive the event due to a pre-existing disorder, (Placenta previa) which she (Brigitte) apparently knew about yet still went ahead with the pregnancy. Mr. Parker arrives as if on cue, with Mr. Cox in tow to handle the situation (explosives etc involved) and asks Miss Parker if she killed Brigitte and whether Brigitte confessed to killing Thomas. He hands the baby to a nurse, not even casting a second glance in Brigitte's direction or spending a moment to look at his child. Miss Parker is both horrified and disgusted with his attitude. She wonders if he even cares whether the baby is a boy or a girl. As the helicopter whisks them away, an explosion rocks the landscape, serving as the final rites for Brigitte.
Jarod pretends to be a clown to blend into the scenery and evade Miss Parker, Sydney and Broots.
- Jarod: Never underestimate the importance of completing unfinished business.
- Miss Parker: But not too late to die.
